I am Sonja

I have more than 10 years grooming experience and had a love for animals all my life. I’m a patient professional, calm confident house call groomer. Specializing in behavioural grooming. I groom at your home while you can watch.  Patience and confidence when grooming can’t be taught, it comes natural. Pets sense it and respect it. I have it!  Fear free, Force Free, Choice Led, that’s how I do it! There are many aspects to Pet Grooming that are difficult and challenging for pets to cope with. Fear and anxiety levels can often be raised to the point at which pets become overwhelmed and start to exhibit stressed and negative behaviours. Holistic, Fear Free, Consent based grooming reduces fear, anxiety and stress and gives the pet back choice and control over being handled and their groom, empowering them to build trust, feel calm, comfortable, and ultimately learn to enjoy being groomed. I work 1-2-1, hand in paw with YOU and your amazing companion using compassion, empathy, communication and lots of patience, interactive games, treats and bespoke strategies specific to the story of you and your pets. All pets are different which is why their grooming journeys need to be too.
